Due to the bespoke nature of our carefully scheduled business load, it is impossible to rebook pet care slots on the fly. Life happens, we do understand. Cancellations are, however, financially detrimental for our business and our sitters. In instances of force majeure or emergencies, Pampered Moose will work with pet owners to accommodate cancellations.

WEATHER
In Central Oregon we can see extreme heat, hazardous wildfire smoke conditions, occasional winter storms and dangerous fog which effect our ability to safely pamper your pets outside. For services required or scheduled during weather events, walks will either be rescheduled for a future date or care provided as indoor enrichment + play visits with minimal potty break exposure to outdoor elements.

HOLIDAY FEES
Around the holidays, we prioritize scheduling existing clients, over new seasonal jobs. In order to offer this consistency for our loyal clients, while advocating for our sitters’ time and energy, we add a fee to all services +/- 3 days from all holidays.

New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King Jr. Day; Presidents’ Day; Easter; Memorial Day; Juneteenth observed (not +/-3); Independence Day; Labor Day; Indigenous Peoples’ Day (not +/- 3); Thanksgiving + day after Thanksgiving; Christmas Eve + Christmas Day; New Year’s Eve

CANCELLATIONS

Non-holiday pet+house sitting
(drop-by and overnight)

  • Pet Owner(s) agree to give 7+ days notice to cancel non-holiday pet+house sitting reservations.
    Pet Owners must provide at least one week's notice before the start of a pet+house sitting booking to avoid penalty charges.

  • Non-holiday bookings will be charged at 25% of the full quoted rate if cancelled after 7 days before start date.

  • Non-holiday bookings will be charged at 50% of the full quoted rate if cancelled after 5 days before start date.

  • Non-holiday bookings will be charged at 75% of the full quoted rate if cancelled after 3 days before start date.

  • Cancellations made during an active booking will incur 100% of the original booking cost.

Holiday pet+house sitting
(drop-by and overnight)

  • 50% deposit taken up front for holiday pet+house sitting. This 50% deposit is fully refundable if services are cancelled 14+ days before booking start date. 

  • 50% deposit will be forfeited by Pet Owner in lieu of contracted cancellation notice of two weeks.

  • Cancelled holiday pet+house sitting will be charged an additional 25% of the full quoted rate if cancelled after 7 days before start date.
    (75% of full quote, including forfeited 50% deposit)

  • Cancelled holiday pet+house sitting will be charged at 100% if cancelled less than 3 days before start date of pet care or during an active booking.

Dog Walking, Hourly Sitting,
Pet Chauffeur

  • We prefer one week's notice, but ask for a minimum of 3 days notice for dog walk cancellations or changes. 

  • Non-emergency cancellations and no shows made same day of service will be charged 100% of rate.

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the service date will be charged at the full minimum rate.

  • Credits/rescheduling for future services can be applied for emergency cancellations or circumstances like hazardous weather conditions.

  • Scheduling +/- 3 days from holidays pet owners will be charged an additional holiday fee.
